CAREER HIGHLIGHTS: 1st race was at Cadwell Park in September 1968. 26 times VMCC 250cc Champion between 1969 and 2019. Eight times VMCC unlimited to 1934 champion between 1988 and 2011. Two times Unlimited to 1948 Champion. Seven Times Girder Fork champion. (43 Chmpionships in total). A 3rd and 2nd overall in the Southern 100 pre TT classic (Isle of Man) in 1993 and 1994, and a class winner on both occasions, Winner 250cc Singles 2004, 2006 & 2007. 11th in the 2002 & 2003, 8th 2004, 6th 2005, 7th 2006 Lightweight classic Manx GP and first British and Single cylinder machine home. Over 500 race wins.

Anglesey (Ty-croes), Darley Moor, New Brighton, Cadwell Park, Three Sisters, East Fortune, Billown (Isle of Man southern 100), The Mountain Course (Isle of Man TT circuit), and Eastern Creek (Australia).

Mervyn retired from competitive race action at the end of the 2025 season.
